L&K Partners served as construction manager for Next Door, Wegmans’ elevated dining concept located adjacent to its Astor Place store. The project brings Wegmans’ renowned hospitality to life in a vibrant, upscale setting where guests can enjoy fresh seafood sourced directly from Tokyo. Designed with a warm, Art Deco-inspired aesthetic, the space features a main dining room, a champagne bar, and a sushi counter.

The project scope included a full interior fit-out, coordination of kitchen infrastructure, banquette seating, custom millwork, tilework, and lighting installations. Notable design details include gilded glass artwork and intricate floor mosaics crafted from Italian tile—both inspired by original ceiling and wall elements uncovered during construction.

Located within a high-traffic, mixed-use development, the project required precise coordination and scheduling. L&K navigated these constraints successfully, delivering a seamless, on-brand space that strengthens Wegmans’ footprint in New York City’s competitive dining scene.
