11 Howard

Hospitality

L&K Partners/Newgrange Construction was hired to provide construction management for the renovation of trendy Soho hotel, 11 Howard. The property, originally built in 1961 and a former Holiday Inn, was completely redesigned to a stylish and elegant escape in the center of the Soho neighborhood in Manhattan. The lobby features 15-foot high ceilings, bleached oak wood paneling and polished concrete floors. Sophisticated craftsmanship is on full display with a custom-made blackened steel spiral staircase which links to the second-floor amenity space. The 221-room hotel boasts 11-foot-high ceilings and oversized windows for abundant natural light, and includes specialty suites with landscaped wrap-around terraces. Every space in the hotel is specific in mood and atmosphere and offers guests unique spaces to lounge or dine on-site, including critically-acclaimed French restaurant, Le Coucou, and elegant bar and lounge, The Blond. 11 Howard, which describes their vision and design as “conscious hospitality”, partners with local artists and a number of nonprofit organizations in an effort to give back to the community.
